To change the address on your registration, you may use the DMV's Change of Address card and write your new address on the registration card in the space provided. Fill out the form completely and mail to the DMV. The DMV will then change your address in its computer system. There is no fee for this address change, but you will not recieve an updated registration certificate.

If you want to recieve an updated registration certificate, please fill out the DMV's Application for Reg & Title (TR-1) form and mail it with a check or money order for $6.50 to: RI Division of Motor Vehicles, 100 Main Street Pawtucket, RI 02860

TR-1 form must be signed by the registered owner and signature must be notarized.

You may also change your address at any DMV branch. You need to bring your current registration card, RI drivers' license, proof of insurance and proof of your new address. The fee for an updated registration is $6.50
